  7. UNIFY RDBMS is a high-performance, SQL-based relational database management
  8. system designed for real-world business applications. Unify executes queries
  9. through B-trees, buffered sequentially, links and hashing, in contrast to other
  10. database management systems that access information sequentially or through
  11. B-trees. UNIFY RDBMS provides automatic referential integrity with none of the
  12. application-level programming required by other systems. Data integrity is
  13. guaranteed, so records having dependent relationships with one another cannot
  14. be improperly added or deleted. Through its express I/O feature, the Unify
  15. database manager bypasses the UNIX file system, improving typical I/O speeds by
  16. 40 percent in databases of 2 MB or larger.
